Alison Wonderland (born Alexandra Margo Sholler) is a DJ Electronic dance music performer as well as a producer in Australia. The year 2009 saw her moved to Chicago, Illinois, to learn about acting at The Second City Training Center. Tolman made her debut in Fargo, a black-comedy crime-drama on FX. Fargo, the 1996 Coen Brothers movie, featured Billy Bob Thornton (as Molly Solverson), Martin Freeman (as Bob Odenkirk) and Bob Odenkirk. Tolman received praise for her portrayal as Minnesota the policeman Molly Solverson. Vanity Fair reported it was clear that Tolman, "calmly" and "assuredly", stole the show. Tolman won the Critics' Choice Television Award in the category of Best Supporting Actress in movies/ministries. In addition she was nominated in the category of Best Actress were received at the Emmy Awards as well as the Golden Globes. The same year, it was revealed that Tolman will make an appearance on The Mindy project in the role of Abby Berman who is a romance writer. In 2015, she was the role of a support of Michael Dougherty s comedy horror film Krampus. Tolman turned down several roles in supporting characters like best friends, spouses, and mothers after her breakout role in Fargo. The actress was searching for an unusual role. Tolman's role on ABC Downward Dog was based on the Animal Media Group Web Series. After one season the show was cancelled. Tolman has been known as a Twitter user, claimed that she had "pretty amazing" results on her role in the ABC Drama Emergence. The show premiered in September, but was canceled after a season on May 21 2020. The actress was also an actor on NBC's Good Girls. In 2021 she was a guest star in the role of Alma Filcott in the second season of the drama show Why Women Kill, and played Natalie Green in The Facts of Life part of the third season of Live in Front of a Studio Audience.
